and something completely different

 

What would you do you if you had a successful training business, a devoted client base and, in common with the rest of the industry, a service offering that patently didn’t achieve all it should or could? The answer for our founders Ian Smith and Jill Dean was to face facts, shut up shop and create Power Train.

As experienced management and customer service trainers they'd reached the grim realisation that the skills they were teaching 'conventionally' in the training room were either not making it back into the workplace or at very best were not surviving for as long as they needed to. Either way, the prime goal of any training - to achieve a sustained, targeted change in behaviour - was rarely being met.

So with ‘The X Files’ at its zenith and in true Mulder and Scully style (remember them?), Ian and Jill set out to find 'the truth out there'. Namely, a training approach that would enable people to develop new skills and apply them directly to their actual work situations, whilst giving them the mindset to change the way they do things - permanently.

Despite investigating a plethora of theories, approaches and behavioural models, nothing already ‘out there’ seemed to provide a practical answer. So, with no intelligent life to be found, they had no choice but to create an entirely new approach to behavioural change. The unique concepts that underpin all Power Training - ActNatural, Total Reality and Emotional Impact – were born.

These concepts have been the cornerstone of every Power Train programme and event ever since. They deliver remarkable and unparalleled results for any organisation that’s seeking to transform its management and service mindsets, and the performance of its people.
