Can you tell us briefly what you do at Power Train?
My role within Power Train is primarily to deliver training courses to a range of diverse clients. I also work as a Senior Consultant where my key responsibilities are to manage a project and to be the key point of contact for the client. I also get involved in various design activities.
What attracted you to work for Power Train?
An interesting advert in the Guardian newspaper, about 11 years ago, caught my eye. The advert talked about transforming training and equipping people with the skills to go back to work and do something/behave differently. On meeting Jill and Ian at Power Train I admired their passion for delivering training that actually makes a difference, and it was something I wanted to be a part of.
What is your most memorable Power Train moment?
For me it has to be when you have worked with a client over a period of time and they have gone on to win awards in their industry for the service they deliver.
What are your favourite past times/hobbies?
I am a recent gym bunny convert/bore and have finally found the time to return to tap dancing classes!
What’s the best thing, and the worst thing, about working for Power Train?
The best thing is, of course, the Power Train team; but really it is delivering training that I passionately believe makes a difference. The worst thing is the ‘grim machine’ side of Power Train, it takes a lot of ‘blood sweat and tears’ to make that training happen, which can be very intense sometimes!
