Can you tell us briefly what you do at Power Train?

Managing our financial records, making sure money comes in and then happily paying it out to our suppliers/VAT/government (maybe I’m not so happy with the VAT payments), running payroll, costing up proposals and budgets, and preparing the monthly management accounts for our Executive Management Team to pore over and analyse!

What attracted you to work for Power Train?

It ticked every box for me ….a varied and challenging job, friendly people, a successful and innovative company and the nice big desk with my own pot plant!

What is your most memorable Power Train moment?

Colleagues’ incredulous reaction when I said I thought I was a ‘feeler’! They gently pointed out my controller tendencies to me.

What are your favourite past times/hobbies?

After being in an office all week I have to get outdoors. There’s nothing better than a blustery hill walk or a stroll along the beach – thank goodness for the M5 so both are never too far away. I’m a new disciple of windsurfing. I’m a liability on the water, but it’s brilliant! I also love my holidays….I’ve always got 2 or 3 breaks lined up.

What’s the best thing, and the worst thing, about working for Power Train?

Best things…. colleagues singing SO out of key that it makes me feel like I’m Leona Lewis, unlimited access to caffeine and bacon butties on birthdays!
The worst thing has to be the pigeons flying into the window behind me… they scare the bejebers out of me every time.
